Sliding Around

Jacket - Zara
Top - Topshop
Jeans - ASOS
Sliders - Dune
Bag - Topshop

The sun decided to come out in Glasgow on the day of my last exam which was pretty great so I took these Dune sliders out on their first venture! They are so unbelievably comfortable and I love how well they match this Zara biker. Dune have actually just restocked these in this nudey pink colour and they're reduced by a tenner so if you were hesitating before, then hesitate no more! I also like the small detail of the sports neck trim on this Topshop blouse, it makes it a bit more casual and wearable during the day!

Thea

Jumper - ASOS
Shirt - Topshop
Jeans - H&M
Trench - ASOS
Trainers - Nike @ ASOS

Well, long time no blog! I can only apologise for my lack of posts, the last week has been super hectic. My last even uni exams finished on Friday, then obviously was out celebrating that on Friday night before Radio 1s big weekend Saturday and Sunday, and then on Monday I got engaged! Quite the bank holiday weekend if you ask me! Today is the first day I've actually opened my laptop so hopefully normal blogging will resume now.

I've been wanting to wear this sleeveless trench coat for ages but just couldn't find the right outfit. I just layered it up with lots of neutrals and these H&M jeans give it a wee twist. Also if anyone is on a trainer hunt right now, I'd definitely recommend these Nike 'Thea' ones - they are so comfortable and go with anything so a worthwhile investment indeed!

Clueless

Skirt and Top - Urban Outfitters
Blazer - Forever 21
Heels - Zara

I wore this cute little Urban Outfitters twosie for a friend's birthday the other night and the Forever 21 sleeveless blazer was the perfect extra layer for a spring night out. I think it's very 'clueless' with the pleated skirt and you can wear the top untucked for a more casual, less pristine look as well. 1 exam down today and 1 to go; so maybe after tomorrow I'll be slightly more articulate in my posts…we'll see!

Menswear

Jacket - Topshop
Tshirt - H&M
Trousers - Zara
Shoes - Superga
Sunglasses - Rayban @ ASOS

While it seems like the entire UK has been having an amazing heatwave all weekend, it would appear Glasgow hasn't quite got the memo - it has been warm for Glasgow but nothing like the looks of down south! Another menswear heavy outfit today with these Zara trousers which are the comfiest I've worn in a while. I can't get enough of this Topshop bomber and also really have my eye on the Khaki version - perfect for a Glasgow summer! I've been a Rayban fan for a while but have never had a pair of the aviators so I took advantage of a recent 20% off ASOS code and got these beauties. I like them as they're a bit different from the standard gold frames!

Monochrome Again

Sleeveless Blazer - Love
Shirt - Zara
Jeans - Topshop
Shoes - Office
Necklace - Topshop

Well, clearly, monochrome isn't showing any signs of becoming uncool anytime soon and I don't intend to stop wearing it in excess. This longline sleeveless blazer from Love is the perfect transitional jacket for this time of year when you still need to layer up a bit but a proper coat isn't quite required. The oversized Zara shirt is perfect when you want comfort but a bit more polish than a plain t-shirt - but it does develop quite a lot of creases throughout the day!

My brain is currently frazzled with studying but as of Friday I will be a free woman and the Radio 1 Big Weekend is going to be the perfect celebration. Excited doesn't quite cover it. I just need this week to go by as quickly and as stress free as possible thanks.

Topshop Treats

All Topshop

So I thought I'd update you all on my latest Topshop wishlist! As a new mule supporter, I'm obviously now wanting to expand my collection with these summery white ones and this bardot style crop top is their perfect accompaniment. The khaki bomber is a perfect spring jacket, while we are waiting for the UK to catch up with the seasons, and I think it would go really well with monochrome outfits. You can never go wrong with a silky cami in summer; they're perfect for creating lots of different outfits and looks. Last but not least, I've never seen a bikini this style so think it would be a cute addition to a summer wardrobe this year!!

Gym Class

Shirt - Topshop
Coat - ASOS
Jeans - Topshop
Shoes - ASOS
Bag - ASOS

This outfit is super simple and comfort-orientated but I'm actually quite pleased with the result. These ASOS slip-ons are by far the comfiest ones I worn and if you follow my posts then you'll know my slip-on collection is quite impressive. I love the all black style although they do remind me of primary school gym class which wasn't my favourite time. I wasn't too sure about the duster coats as they are very long - this is actually the petite version - but I do like the way that it finishes off such a plain outfit in quite a polished way. In fact, I had a 20% off ASOS code yesterday so may have ordered the coat in pale pink..just maybe.

Boyfriend

Jumper - Zara
Shirt - ASOS
Jeans - Zara
Shoes - Topshop
Jacket - Zara

I thought it only fitting to follow my Zara-obsessed post with a very Zara heavy outfit. I doubt I'm the first to think this but after years of wearing skinny / high waisted tight jeans, these 'boyfriend' ones really are a breath of fresh air - who knew jeans could actually be comfortable?! Then I just added as many pastels items as I could find and I was ready to go… It is a bit marshmallow-esque but I suppose the rips make it every so slightly less girly.

Oh Zara, Zara, Zara

Well, there's no denying that Zara are at the top of their extremely stylish game these days, with new items added to my wish list almost daily. I find their pieces are always excellent quality with generally very reasonable prices. I thought I'd compile a little post with some beautiful items that have found their way into my wardrobe since the start of 2014. Topshop used to be my first-stop shop but as you can see the New Year brought a new obsession and the focus shifted to Zara…

All items - Zara

So, aside from my poor little bank balance, I think you'll agree with my opening statement. I've never seen Zara swimwear in previous years, but I am absolutely loving their current selection. It's about £30 for a set which is about the same as ASOS and Tosphop and the cut and quality is top notch - I especially love the sports luxe trim on this floral one. Following on with the sporty theme, this playsuit is definitely coming to the beach with me in the summer. Since my last post, wearing my first pair of mules, I've doubled my collection in the form of these black ones - I think the mid heel will make them really wearable throughout the day, I'll keep you posted when they arrive! Turning attention to the trouser haul - I find Zara trousers excellent value for money - these faux leather ones are £29.99 and look exceptionally non faux and are such a great fit so I would thoroughly recommend snapping up a pair if you haven't already. As I'm sure you all know, I'm a big fan of the 'mom' jean but have been wanting to branch out into the 'boyfriend' feel for a while now and these were just a treat when they arrived on my doormat: perfect fit with just the right amount of slouch and rip-age. Last but not least, this pink biker jacket. I bought the pale blue version when it first came into stock months ago and have loved every minute of my ownership so as soon as I saw this pink one I had to have it. I think it's pretty much sold out online now but there may be a restock or you might be able to find a little gem in your local Zara!

Happy shopping!

Muletastic

Tshirt - H&M
Jacket - Zara
Trousers - ASOS
Mules - Next
Bag - John Lewis

This is the first time I've worn my hair in a side parting in years and I feel like I look about 9 years old - not that I wore that much make up at that age. In other news, this is me cautiously joining the mule trend. I've seen so many great outfits on other bloggers with those famous Zara mules - I tried them on in store and I don't know what it is about them but they aren't the most flattering on toes. These Next ones are a good compromise with their slightly tapered, almost peep-toe front. I think this is the least faux looking faux leather jacket I've owned. I really like the collarless style and it feels excellent quality. It's a yes from me, Zara.

Dot Cotton

Top + Trousers - Urban Outfitters
Denim jacket - Topshop (similar)
Sandals - ASOS

This coord from Urban Outfitters is perfect for this time of year. The crop top is nice an summery but the trousers are good to keep you going until it's legs out weather. It is quite pricey, but it's great quality and the material is so comfortable and of course, like all coords - you can mix it up by wearing each piece in other outfits. ASOS have done it again in creating the perfect spring summer shoes. The low heel is perfect for when you want to be slightly more dressed up than normal sandals but they're definitely comfortable enough for every day wear.
Speaking of sandals, pretty much everyone is talking about these amazing Dune Isabel Marant dupes so naturally I wanted to get in on the action. They're ridiculously identical to the originals and about a fifth of the rice. Word on the street is that the website will be restocked within the next few weeks so keep checking back but currently they are completely sold out in both colours and every size. However, not wanting to leave anything to chance I used the online store checker and found one remaining pair in my size in the Manchester shop - so as my brother lives down there I sent him down to Dune in between his nightshifts! Good brother or what?! Good for some things anyway. Now I just need to get them to Glasgow and my life will be complete. So you will be seeing them soon, but as I said, keep an eye on the website for a restock!

Motel Rocks

All Motel Rocks

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win an ASOS Fashion Finder competition and along with it a £150 Motel Rocks voucher. I absolutely love Motel and was so excited to look through the website to pick some goodies! These were my picks, aided by a 20% student discount code, and I'm just getting around to posting them on here. The white top is such a great basic; nice thick material and a great cut and fit. Motel playsuits have always been a fave of mine and this blue and white one is no exception. The thing I love about the brand is that they produce each great print in such a variety of shapes and styles so theres something for everyone - the off the shoulder cut of the red dress will be perfect on holiday!! I think that's my holiday wardrobe sorted thanks to Motel Rocks!

Dupes

Top - ASOS
Jeans - Topshop
Jacket - Zara (similar)
Boots - ASOS
Bag - John Lewis (similar)

This cute little ASOS top doesn't get much of a starring role in this post but I absolutely love it. It'll be perfect for summer, adding an extra detail to a standard white vest. I've been wanting a pair of boots like this for aaages. They're a great 'dupe' for the Balenciagas which are featured on Ashley Madekwe's blog too many times to keep the jealousy away - it also just shows how versatile this style can be. My absolute fave looks can be found here, here, here and here (there's too many to choose from sorry). They're currently £48 which is pretty good compared to the roughly £800 the real things would cost! When I've worn it in the past, this zara jacket has kind of annoyed me in the way it sits at the top but it actually works really well with this top, showing off the cut out detail at the front.

Diamonds

Shirt - ASOS
Jumper - Marks + Spencer (similar)
Coat - ASOS
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Pull + Bear @ ASOS

I'd like to introduce you all to my best buy in a while, this ASOS coat. I had my eye on it when it first came into stock so when I saw it in the sale with an extra 15% off everything, who was I to turn that down at a measly £36?! It is quite warm so I'll get more wear out of it when autumn comes around, but let's be honest, its hardly roasting out there these days! This shirt is another recent ASOS buy, also reduced right now by the way, and the detail on the collar gives a little twist on a standard white shirt. The minor cut out detail on the boots and the sunglasses are there to remind us all what time of year it is, despite the weather.

Safari

Jumper - Primark (men)
Top - Topshop
Jeans - M+S
Sandals - Forever 21
Bag - Zara
Hat - ASOS

On a scale of 1 to 10 - 10 being ridiculously so - how much would you say I look like Indiana Jones going on safari here? - not helped by the arty shadows all over the place. The sun came out at the weekend, so I put a hat on and got my toes out. I've had this hat in my saved items for a while and one day it was reduced so I just took the plunge - cheeky ASOS fuelling my excessive shopping habit. I picked up this jumper from the men's section of Primark for an amazing £6 and it feels pretty good quality. Definitely going to get it in a couple other colours!
