Checkmate

Jeans - ASOS
Shirt - Topshop
Cardigan - Topshop
Coat - Topshop
Boots - River Island

I've wanted a pair of ripped jeans for a while but have been quite nervy to get my knees out. However, after I got used to having cold little knees I really liked these ASOS jeans. They'll be perfect in summer, but didn't feel at all out of place on a cold winter's day. This coat - I found it in the 'Buy it now or regret it later' rack in Topshop and boy I'm glad I did "Buy it now". It's quite lightweight but slightly oversized so allows for some good old layering. This outfit is a good example of comfortable clothes that look quite smart and put together without trying too hard.

I am now however, facing a problem in that I have too many coats that I want to take to Paris next month but I'm only going for 4 days so outfit planning is going to be a struggle...

Jackie Jacquard

Trousers - H+M
Jumper - Topshop
Jacket - ASOS
Bag - ASOS
Shoes - Topshop
Rings - Topshop
Necklace - H+M

I can never seem to find a pair of cigarette style trousers that fit my body and I had almost given hope that I ever would when I found this gorgey pair in H+M. They were only £29.99 and look and feel really expensive so all in all a success I would say! I love the combination of them and my Topshop fluffy jumper, I didn't think I'd get this much wear out of it as it's quite a distinctive colour but I've actually worn it loads!

I know I look a bit of a moody cow in these photos but I have a really sore mouth ulcer that was causing me extreme discomfort during the phototaking - #bloggerproblems eh?!

Oh, Fedora

Shirt - Zara
Jumper - Zara
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - River Island
Fedora - River Island
Necklace - Topshop

If any of you have been following me on Twitter, you'll know all about my fedora anxieties. I've wanted one for ages and finally I took the plunge but I'm still really nervy about wearing it. I'm just gonna have to go for it and I'm sure I'll get used to it! I'm not usually a massive fan of dogtooth but I just loved this shirt when I saw it, and I think having just a hint of it showing with the collar adds a nice touch to an otherwise quite bland outfit.
Also, this frizzball that you can see is what my hair delightfully looks like when I leave it to dry. Not the nicest style but I just can't be bothered sometimes!

Date Night

Suit - ASOS
Cami - Topshop (available in many colours)
Heels - Topshop
Necklace - Topshop
Bag - Topshop
Lipstick - Straight Ace - Topshop

I've finally done it. I have found a perfect purple lipstick. No too black and not red / pink. Perfy! I wore this suit out for a nice dinner at the weekend and I absolutely love it. It felt so glamorous and the beading detail is amazing. You'll see this along with the Cheap Monday ring on my previous post - an ASOS haul. I've already worn the jacket again with a more casual outfit and I think I'll get a lot of wear of both pieces over the festive season!

ASOS Haul

If any of you follow me on twitter you'll know that I came home to a ridiculous amount of ASOS packages on Friday. This was due to a combination of (a very small amount of) Christmas shopping, a very low standard of self discipline when it comes to shopping and my subscription to ASOS premier which gives me free next day delivery as often as I want! However, my bank balance isn't enjoying this as much as I am.

First things first, coats. My main love. I already have this cocoon coat in pink (seen on the blog here) but I simply couldn't resist the white version as well. I'm going to Paris next month and I think the white coat will most definitely be in my suitcase for that trip. Also, this checked coat. I have seen this coat in so many magazines over the last few weeks (feels like months) and literally checked the 'new in' page every single day for it to come in. It is quite pricey but feels so expensive and good quality and it's just so beautiful that I don't even care!

Next, I got these two amazing festive party dresses. I think I'll wear the one on the right on Christmas Day. It's never too early to plan that outfit. And the silver metallic one would be perfect for a festive night out and would be easily dressed up or down! I always add my favourite items to my saved items list because ASOS have a cheeky wee habit of reducing things for no apparent reason. So I keep them saved then if I see them reduced I just snap them up.

This little collection of accessories were all such bargains. They were all reduced and both the Cheap Monday ring and the gold cocktail ring just look so expensive and high end. I can't wait to wear them.

Last but certainly not least I got this stunning embellished suit. I coudn't wait to wear it and ended up wearing it out on Friday night. I got these two pairs of shoes - the silver sandals would be perfect for a more fancy occasion whereas these white shoes would be perfect for wearing the suit during the day with just a basic tee underneath!

Happy Shopping everyone!

Repeat Offender

Coat, Jeans, Cardigan, Boots, Socks, Necklace - all Topshop

Here I am, wearing chartreuse again. I just can't get enough of this coat. I absolutely love the colour and the feel of it. I realised when I uploaded these photos to my computer that this outfit is almost identical to another blog post I have done (here) - even down to the socks - THE SHAME.
Anywaaaaay, I'm looking forward to experimenting with different looks involving this coat. You should be excited too.

I'm off for dinner tonight in this stunning suit from ASOS. I think it's the perfect cocktail sipping outfit, don't you?!

Mellow Yellow

Two Piece - Topshop
Fur Gilet - Topshop (similar here)
Necklace - Topshop
Boots - Zara

This two piece was the first outfit to be featured on my blog in July (here) so I thought it would be fun to feature it again with a more wintery feel to it. I got this faux fur gilet last year and it has a fringe detail on the bottom but this is Topshop's version for this winter. It has a slightly different shape but looks equally as cosy as mine. Finally, the boots. These have been featured on the blog so many times. They were perfect to transition into autumn with the cut out sides and I'm still wearing them a lot. They are so comfortable and easy to walk in due to the block heel but they look glam enough for a night out! Result.
